humanism was a belief Romans and Greeks practiced. They believed their lives were more or as important as the God(s). They believed that God(s) made human and gifted them each talents. Humanism painting and sculptures showed human as chiseled and flawless. Humanism sparked interest in the beauty of an individual and humanity itself. Renaissance means "rebirth" or "reawakening" The time of the Renaissance was when old ideas were brought back to the surface. Among those ideas were Greek and Roman art.
