Dan plans to use $10 less than three-fourths of his allowance to buy a new video game. If the purchase price of the game is $50 how much is his allowance?

First you would take the $10 and add it to $50 to make three-fourths of his allowance. That would give us $60 and 60 divided by 3 would be 20. Then we would add $20 to $60 and give us his allowance which would be $80. Hope this helps!
