Please help me with this problem

So we are going to take note of the following
That triangle is right-angled or has a 90 degree angle in it
But the notation on the other 2 angles tells us they are equal angles
So the triangle is an Isosceles right triangle (a triangle with 2 equal angles and one 90 degree angle)
The Isosceles triangle theorem tells us that if 2 angles are equal, then the sides opposite these angles are also equal
So [tex]y+32=52[/tex] and so we simplify
[tex]y+32=52\\ y+32-(32)=52-(32)\\ y=20[/tex] is our answer
