Find the slope of the line through the points (3,-4) and(-5,2)

Use the slope formula:-

[tex]\displaystyle\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

Plug in the values:-

[tex]\displaystyle\frac{2-(-4)}{-5-3}[/tex]

[tex]\displaystyle\frac{2+4}{-8} =\frac{6}{-8} =-\frac{6}{8}[/tex]

Reduce the fraction by dividing the top & bottom by 2:-

[tex]-\displaystyle\frac{3}{4}[/tex]

[tex]\uparrow\sf{Slope}[/tex]
