ok.. so in distributive prop you are to multiply the number out side the parenthesis so 12m times m and then 12m times -3n so it would be (12m² -36mn) Hope it helps! :)

First you take and times 12m by m when you do that you will get 12m².
Next you take and times 12m by -3n and you will get -36mn
