To solve for x:
C=85x+60 subtract 60 from both sides
C - 60=85x+60 - 60
C - 60 = 85x now divide by 85 both sides
(C - 60)/85 = x
So we can write:
[tex]x= \frac{C-60}{85} [/tex]
