Combine like terms.
[tex]-9h + 12h = 3h [/tex]
-6 + 40 = 34
[tex]34 + 3h = 22[/tex]
34+3h = 22
-34 -34
3h = -12
[tex] \frac{3h}{3} = \frac{-12}{3} [/tex]
h = -12/3
h=-4
